Information Regarding COVID-19

Great Oaks Hospice remains committed to supporting our local community as we move out of COVID restrictions, and we continue to adhere to the national guidance for health care settings. The safety of everyone accessing our service is our top priority.

As we reopen the building to sessions and appointments, please be assured that:

  • Our building will remain well ventilated
  •  COVID checks will be completed on anyone entering the building
  • Anyone visiting our building will be asked to sanitise their hands prior to entry and to have taken a Lateral Flow Test
  • Anybody who is unwell or has signs and symptoms of COVID 19 or a respiratory infection will not be able to enter the building
  • All our staff continue to undertake twice weekly lateral flow tests
  • All staff will continue to wear PPE appropriate to their role
  • We have a strict cleaning regime and will continue to adhere to this
  • Group sessions will continue to be kept to smaller numbers of participants to ensure we are protecting our vulnerable patients
  • Our Hospice at Home Service continues to run in the community, with staff taking appropriate precautions to ensure the safety of our patients and those caring for them
  • Our Complementary Therapy sessions, Bereavement and Counselling sessions and some other group sessions have restarted. Our Day Hospice will be returning, later in the year
