Complementary therapies are a service provided by Great Oaks to work alongside existing medical treatment.
Experienced Complementary Therapists are able to offer a number of different therapies including Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Reiki, Bowens Technique, Qi Gong and more.
Therapies are able to help with relaxation, symptom control, adaptation to change & support to help self-manage.
Patient Information Service
The Hospice has an Information Point that holds a broad range of booklets, leaflets and other information. Staff are available to talk through specific issues, offer support and help people access the right information for their needs.
There is an array of support groups to meet the varying needs of people and patients. They include;
Cancer Support Groups; meet 1st and 3rd Thursday mornings at Newent Community Centre and the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at Great Oaks Hospice, all are between 10 - 12 and open to anyone touched by cancer, they can drop in for a coffee and a chat.
